Marble and Travertine

Care

Apply a transparent paste wax and polish with a soft, dry cloth in the direction of the veins. Repeat this process regularly to form a completely transparent and impermeable film on the surface that protects the stone. In the event of a liquid spill or other damage, wipe immediately, then rinse and wax again.

First Aid

For shallow stains, apply a bit of hydrogen peroxide or ammonia diluted by half with water to a steel wool pad. Remove all traces of the solution using clean water, then wipe with a dry cloth and wax again. If the surface is scratched, the same method can be used, taking care to rub lightly with the steel wool. Warning: It is advised to wear gloves when handling ammonia!
